Wife bought me this for Christmas , Its lovely and super clean but a bit grandad so with two other projects on the go Xpack v8 capri and mk2 south london transit mods need to be for buttons so I bought an XJR grill for it which ill paint soon and a boot lip spoiler from taiwan (ill see how that goes!) I'm thinking gold centre 16s lattice wheels on it and maybe a bit more nose down with shorter springs ........... Any other cheap mods? show me some cool cars

Jags as jaaaags are tend to look cool as is, like yours does now other than smoke out the windows i wouldnt do a thing (darken them, not chug roll ups out the drivers side) But asking for pics this one does the beans for me

I'd agree with the general consensus, except possibly finding an alternative set of (original Jag) wheels for it. Not sure the gold lattices would work on that colour (although they are one of my favourites). I wouldn't even bother with the XJR grill, they don't look any better than the standard one and it's the Jag equivalent of an "M" badged base spec Beemer or a GTi badged 1300 Golf It's easy to make one look tacky, you have to spend a lot and put a lot in to get one that really stands out and looks good (as the example above). They are just lovely as they are (and that's one of the best colours too in my opinion), so I'd just enjoy wafting around in Jaggy goodness and concentrate on your other projects.

Fair point about the badge engineering ! I do like the lattice wheels though maybe black centred ......... I think you are right ill just waft around in this one....

This looks just about perfect just as it is... Maybe (as mentioned) a light smoke of the windows and nothing more would make this look lovely.

one thing I will say is I had the gold xj40 on here that most have seen and I cut the springs, not by much maybe a coil if I remember correctly, and the front subframe sat so low, literally about half inch off the floor it was nigh on undriveable some places so don't know if the x300s are the same. Just something to bear in mind

As it is with silver lattice wheels, diamond cut rims, slightly loves profile tyres but still practical, and a bit lower, especially at the front.
Practical, but with class and presence.
Massive wheels don't suit these cars imo but lows do. The styling is suited to be draped over the wheels and close to the ground. But obviously it should still ride.

Jag x300 are already cool cars as stated above. I sold my 924 to buy one and its one of my better calls, nice and smooth super quite and a bit of grunt when needed. grifterkid yours looks spot on nice colour, maybe some speedline alloys or twr type alloys is what iam after for mine. Get them while they are bargains sport or executive's are the ones to own Cant tell you how much of a bargain they are ,don't know why? Any how here is mine with 20 spoke alloys and the front grill meshed.

In my opinion they can look a little under wheeled, so maybe something in 17 or 18" with some dish and a slight drop. Personally I would go with 17's, something along the lines of bbs reps, so that you can still have a bit of side wall and maybe some eibach springs which I imagine will only lower it 25mm. *edit* Looks great this! I know you want to keep it sensible & wafty but.... I cant help but think that some 17/18" BBS Style 5's + lows would look awesome.. Pic is 18's Bit more tyre and a bit more lowering would be perfect.

Small wheels and big walled tyres are partly why the ride is like it is in a Jag. Small walls will kill it IMHO.

They are very cool cars, just need hitting with the stick and some decent size wheels. This is mine, it's the XJR so comes with the supercharged V8 - the quickest armchair I ever sat in.
