Had this for over a year now and other than getting it running smoothly I haven't done much to it. It has original running gear except for Omega disc brakes on front. Car would be well nice with a Red top or V6 Engine. Will post more more pics soon, this one is just a test.

Don't drop a redtop in it if you're going to modify it. Something that classy needs a v8

V8 has been done on these before but it's a lot of work to squeeze it all in..

I think you should consider a change of wheel, IMO those alloys don't suit it, a set of banded steels or even better chrome baby moons would set that off lovely and look just right.
Engine- wise, red top or just something more up to date and usable than the old 1500/1600 pushrod would be my bet, there's a number of ways you could go.

That looks tip-top...
I would have to say that the wheels do need changing to something a little more in keeping with the car itself as those may be just a touch too modern. Having said that it is your car so it's your rules!
With regards to the engine an Omega V6 sounds like a good idea. Is that easily shoved in one of these?!
Do keep us updated as this car is a peach...

Previous owner had the v6 omega engine ready for the swop but never got round to it. Looks like quite a big engine bay but from reading a lot I know that fitting a v8 requires a fair bit of firewall modification. Rear end looks like it would take an omega subframe quite nicely too. My problem at the moment is time and a place to work so may end up selling it. Undecided as yet. Car looks good in pics but needs a few panel repairs here and there.

Usually not a fan of modern wheels on older cars, but think these look pretty cool?
Be a shame to batter the thing just to get a modern engine in it.

It actually runs really well on its original motor which is probably why no one has previously swopped it out. I have virtually another car that was salvaged from a breakers yard so I have two sets of steel wheels. Could band one set but I do kinda like the alloys. Car is still at original ride height too.

That's a nice looking car. Personally I'd swap the wheels for something more suited to its era, and then leave it as it is and enjoy it. There is a certain joy in having something as near factory spec as possible many years after it left the factory.

Nice car. Another vote here for more 'appropriate' wheels.

Not been here in a long time guys but thumbs up to email notifications! Car hasn't been run for over year. Still same spec as previous posts but needs a fair amount of TLC Up for sale if anyone is interested? Not after stupid money.
