Here for sale is my Escort. It's previously been a magazine feature car and has a high-spec ZVH (Zetec block, CVH head) turbo engine running around 280hp. It's fully forged, bored out to 2.1, has a stage 3 head and is using a Garret T3 hybrid turbo at 14psi (overboosting to 18psi. It's a very torquey engine with a lot of low down power. It also has a manually adjustable bleed valve to change boost levels which you should leave alone!). It has an remote oil filter setup and uses a standalone fuel management system by Lumenition. Pretty much everything possible has been uprated. It has a large 3.5 inch exhaust which sounds very deep but not too loud, the dump valve setup also makes for some nice turbo chatter. The engine was built at roughly 100K so it's very fresh, the cambelt is due again at 149K. The engine has a lot more potential, with a bigger turbo, higher spec clutch and remap it could make a lot more power.
The door locks have been removed, the car is opened/locked with a fob and it has an immobiliser.
For the last MOT some welding was done to the rear chassis legs and sills. The car should be fine for a good few years now and has plenty of MOT left.
It sits of GAZ coilovers and now has a matt black bonnet on pins. The arches seem rust-free and it has been resprayed in the past, overall the paint is very good albeit with a few minor defects. It has reconditioned wheels fitted with locking wheel nuts and very good Pirelli tyres. As for the interior it has white Lockwood dials, a modern head unit with CD player and additional gauges for oil pressure, boot pressure and coolant temperature where the centre vents would've been. It also has a single wiper conversion.
Bad Points
Clutch slightly worn.
Could do with a bigger bore master cylinder to match the uprated calipers (brakes require a manly leg).
Boot won't lock (currently tied shut).
