I've always lusted after a road going supertourer (ideally a 406 v6 or maybe an Alfa 155). I'm an for detail though, that sunroof would bug me massively Wouldn't have noticed, since the aftermarket headlights had the exact same effect on me Laguna plan is coming along, I'm looking at a 16v model this weekend. V6s seem to be pretty powerful, but only one in my area looks shagged. Also the running costs would probably exceed cheap daily terretory, at least in my case. But I'm not in a hurry (yet, depending on how the Mazda holds up) Stocking up on yellow paint is next This was a story on Speedhunters recently link

My old 155 V6, a little way off BTCC low: And some of one of my old twinspark 155s: I always thought a slammed Laguna or Mk1 Mondeo saloon would be cool!

Super touring rocked. I pretty much bought my 155 purely on the touring car association though looking at the pics in this thread I should have done more modifications, some the 155s look great.

How about this as a road going super-tourer??? Admittedly it's actually just a super-tourer that's not had it's stickers put on yet, but still stunning if you ask me.

I do remember that max power one actually, I was going to mention it but thought it was lost to the mists of time. Converted to rear wheel drive with a rover V8 IIRC. Change the colour and take the stickers off and we're almost bang on.
I saw that speedhunters article too, again, less of the stickers and it's pretty much there (this coming from a guy with more stickers on/in his car than a billion panini sticker books).

Interesting! (Although the rear wing seems to be a little off) Progress Report: The Laguna turned out to be an automatic, despite the ad and the seller on the phone telling me the opposite. A couple of weeks ago I also looked at a Vectra B, but that appeared to be pretty shaggged. I didn't know there was a ST special edition for those available in the uk. And I found this american replica of a Dodge Stratus: linkto gallery

Is it just me, or has that had the SU's pulled off the manifold adaptor plenum, a pair of turbochargers piped to it instead, and the SU's stuck onto the turbos suck-thru style..?

Sadly the old hair has pretty bad cancer so is going to be a very long road before she is back on track.

I think the problem wih this is that you need to be very careful not to stray into boy racer territory, there's a bit of a thin line imo. This seems to do it really well, considering I'm not normally a fan of BMWs I really like it!
