Hey, I'm putting my MK2 bready up for sale soon. 52k, a few mods/upgrades, very solid car, covered in patches of primer atm and in need of a little TLC to get really nice again. MOT til Sept, Tax til May (I think), in Birmingham for £400. Upgrades include brand new 60/40 lowering shocks 'n' springs, PPP ARB blocks, VWII calipers with Brembo discs and pads, GT box, GT exhaust system, MK1 golf carb, KN filter and 13x5.5 MK2 golf steel wheels. I have a late 90' coupe in tornado red (it's a proper mk2, not a mk2f).
Its got a load of nice bits; fully rebuilt ABD 1.4 with GT cam, Weber carb, stainless 4-2-1 manifold, close ratio 5spd box etc. New gas shocks and apex springs, nylon ARB blocks, new brakes all round, revolution wheels with yoko a539 tyres. It was rebuilt about 3k miles ago with all the parts listed.
It also has GT seats, steering wheel and dials.
With about the same power as a GT and loads more torque, its pretty nippy and handle like a go kart.
