For sale is my 1993 3.0 m3.
The car has covered 110k, has mot until sept, tax until sept and the next service is not required until sept.
Being the rarer 3.0 model it has the stronger 5 speed box and reportedly doesn't suffer the vanos problems that the Evos are prone to.
The impressive numbers according to Evo magazine are 286bhp, 0-60 in 5.4 secs, 162mph, 198bhp per ton, perfect 50/50 weight distribution, 31.5 mpg.
This car has been very well maintained by myself and also by the previous family whom owned the car for 16years. Aswell as keeping on top of servicing, They kept a folder full of receipts for everything from a full AA vehicle inspection to a 1993 Evo magazine featuring an m3 when launched, this is what swayed them to part with their hard earned cash all them years ago!
To give you an idea of the level of maintenance, I recently spent £80 at a BMW dealer just on nuts and bolts for the exhaust.
In the last year alone it has also benefited from the following being purchased.
4x new tyres.
New window seals all round. (BMW part)
New illuminated gear knob. (BMW part)
An Evo steering rack (date stamped 2005)
New clutch (LUK full kit)
New flywheel (LUK)
New main oil seal. (BMW part)
Braided clutch line.(gives a lighter pedal)
Discs and pads.(Brembo)
Recon exhaust back box.
As well as expected service items.
This car has the rare black alcantara vader interior. There is no wear to the seats and all are in fantastic condition.
Another benefit is the airbag sports wheel that was a £560 optional extra. The price of the wheel may seem excessive, but for those that have seen the standard 3.0 m3 steering wheel it was worth the extra!
No sagging from the glove box(sagging is a usual fault), and the BMW torch, warning triangle, full first aid kit and full tool kit are all still correct and present.
Exterior wise the car is Daytona violet, only sold for a very short period of time. A fantastic colour. It goes from a fairly dark purple to a bright violet in sunlight as the last picture demonstrates. Due to it's age and the fact it's still the original paint there are a couple of trolly dents and stone chips as to be expected.
The rear arches have a tiny dot of corrosion on each arch that can be rectified for £150 prior to sale.
Also the passenger door has a very slight dent caused by the window runner failing some years ago. I have a spare immaculate door in Daytona violet as passed on from the previous owners, but myself nor them thought it was noticeable enough to warrant the door change.
None of the above detracts from the overall appearance of the car. It still looks like a very clean and looked after example.
I am asking £4500 with no offers for a hassle free sale. Considering how cherished this example is, the sought after colour/interior combo and the fact the clutch work alone cost £1000 I think this is a very fair price compared to others that are currently for sale.
