Like them both, yeh I think the bronze one would be more suited to any additions.

The green car is beautiful. I love this 7 series so much, you really don't see them often now and I've never seen one in that colour - normally silver/gold.

I do have visions that the bronze one, on the deck with deep dish alloys would look pretty cool. Maybe something to consider over the summer.
Re the green one - agreed I have never seen this colour before. When I saw the advert on Car & Classic, there was only 2 exterior pictures and it looked quite a light shade of green. As soon as the owner opened the garage door though and I saw it I got 'that feeling'. It's a lot darker than I imagined and a lot nicer than I imagined. The previous owner did say it was a common colour but I did beg to differ. During this era it was more Emerald Green (which my E30 was) more than anything else.

Wow, awesome E23s! Absolutely love the green one, I'd perhaps drop it a bit more and leave the original BBS.

Might have a play with Photoshop to see what the green one looks like lowered slightly with just the standard rims. My thoughts for the Bronze one (lowered with deep dish rims) stem from your 730 thread and what you did with that - I know it was for sale on here did it sell or did you keep it In the end?

I'd stay original with the green one too - it just looks so right as it is! Maybe a few mm nearer the ground would be good........

I came to my senses and decided to keep it! I'm making a few changes and then its back out again for the summer. E12 bilstein B6 shocks (since the originals have blown apart with the ride height!) and some super dished 16" RH Toplines with chunky tyres. Glad I've had a slight part in promoting E23s! The bronze one does look fantastic. I also had a silver manual 728i which had an immaculate body, I've recently sold this to a close friend who's going to do some terrific stuff to it (custom Gaz coilovers etc).

Demonic - does it need much doing to get it back on the road?
I don't need any encouragement - literally if another E23 came on the market today, within my budget, I would be there to buy it. It's a bit of a case of love for the unloved and has become a bit of an obsession...
Rob - glad to hear you kept the 730, it does look a peach! I haven't seen many of the pre-facelift kicking about so it must make yours pretty rare, given the scarcity of E23's anyway?
Looking forward to reading up more on it if you continue the Readers Rides thread.

I'm from Marske, last time i went down Redcar highstreet half the place was empty! Loving the green one by the way, my favourite drives round that way would probably be the road from Redcar to Guisborough (over Dunsdale) and the road between the moors and Guisborough, up the back of Claphow. And of course the weekly jaunt to Whitby, avoiding bikers!

A pair of great looking E23s, I tried to buy the '83 before but it was just too difficult to co-ordinate at the time. If you ever get tempted to sell, let me know!
