Nice find on the GSI bumpers but your missing the trim at the bottom of the front one.
Did you manage to buy the GSI in the end? I haven't Sen one of those for sale in ages and mine is still in pieces in the garage.
If you need help or parts I have quite a bit but I have started buying old stock of ADL ball joints and hand brake cables as well as rear bearings, rear disks, and anything that's still hanging around. Have a large collection of gaskets for engine rebuilds for all engine types on 2nd gen lude including Felpro permatorque head gaskets for the 12v Sohc engines which enable 2.0l conversions on early ET type engines.
Although really annoyed managed to fudge my front windscreen trying to sort out rust under the front intake cowling wasnt amused I hope wilkinsons still have them in stock.
I have a 1985 DL in stratosphere blue, 1983 EX in Red, and a GSI in White plus two old GSI for spares although one is pretty much just a shell a few more bits off it and will be going to crusher.
My DL is heavily modded 200bhp @ 7600rpm 160lbft 5500rpm A18 hybrid 12v SOHC stripped down to 850KG everything is pretty much custom , brakes 295mm two piece with Hi Spec racing 4 piston calipers, GAZ coilovers, Cobra buckets, Integra gears, custom mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust with custom 2" twin downpipes on ported polished cast manifold, modified Weber 45 DCOE's running custom 42mm chokes on a new Zealand sourced manifold (still available as is turbo manifold from mosselman turbos Holland), piper cams grind 272 and 285 degrees, custom stainless steel valves 3mm increase on both inlet and exhaust valves, rebuilt blue printed engines by me, head work extensive also by me, A20A4 3rd gen accord pistons in 83mm bore size, oversized rings hand gapped (but about to buy Brian Crower light weight sportsman rods B18a and Carillo pistons 84mm flat tops higher CR ratio) this will lighten each cylinder 90grams and be much stronger and increase power from CR boost and extra CC expecting about 12.5:1, hoping this with custom header to replace the cast iron anchor up front with possibly pair of Weber DCO/SP 48's on 44mm chokes will get me to around 230 to 240bhp king motorsports managed 340bhp somehow most likely bigger valves lots of titanium rods and valve train higher CR ratio and 310 degree higher lift camshaft.
She runs 1/4 Mike in high 13's with 195/50/15 vredestein sportrac 3's and open diff but looking to source an Australian LSD for CRX/Civic which fits our diffs on all models and replace wheels and tyres with lighter stickier combo should see me into the lower 13's maybe high 12's with new engine.
I have had the DL 20 years and the EX 10 years which I bought from Granny with 30k miles garage stored all its life was in time warp condition no rust except on exhaust which I replaced for custom stainless steel one lowered it on Jamex springs 40mm drop, put GSI pin stripe seats in lumbar support much better, GSI steering wheel and alloys and stuck a decent stereo in retro looking Pioneer one with decent Morel component speakers hidden in the stock location in the doors. Has a piper cams 272 degree cam some carb mods this one's about 135bhp 130lbft.
White GSI is being restored was std apart from a poorly made SS exhaust from previous owner, and nice addition of Koni RED sports adjustable shocks, engine has adjustable pullies from a F22 engine set couple of degrees advance on intake and couple retarded on exhaust side. B20A has plans spare engine will be built with parts I have from Crower rods, B20A5 pistons 81.5mm 10.5:1 CR ratio, Weber manifold custom made in stainless, B18A cams, supertech titanium retainers, high lift uprated springs, to do list is OBX header 3rd gen lude cut of flange for secondaries and fit custom 2" downpipes at correct angle and 2.5" system. Hoping that B20A makes Good power mugen used similar engine in formula racing 240bhp with 24mm restrictor plate in intake, I also have valve blanks to increase sizes on exhaust to 30mm and intakes to 34mm maybe 35mm if I can which should help.
That's my little lude addiction I have a 2001 golf cabrio and two beemers for daily transport as the ludes are too rare to use all the time. Benefit is get to insure both for 167 a year.
