Hello my name is Harry, I'm a construction project manager for hospital buildings.
...but hospitals isn't racecar so I'm building this:
retrorides.proboards.com/thread/175523/mercedes-c250td-wagon-c300td?page=4&scrollTo=2226215
Previous cars: 1972 Land Rover S3, SWB, canvass top, Diesel.
1988 Mercedes 190e 1.8 (curse word engine, good body)
1998 Mercedes E300TD (curse word body, good engine)
1999 Mercedes C250TD (good body, fitted engine from above)
1982 Austin Mini, 998 Mayfair. Cage, discs, CF panels, full of race.
But I'm really liking these old 80's Honda builds like the prelude above.. Hmm...

Hi guys, my name is Jeremy from St. Louis, Missouri. I currently drive a 2001 Chevrolet S10 which isn't old but I love me some old cars. My first car was a 1993 Ford Tempo 2.3L, turned it into a Mercury and removed the black lines from the tail lights. The wheel covers got replaced with the 7 spoke alu wheels common on these. Hated driving an auto, wanted a stick and my dad wouldn't let me convert the Tempo so I bought my truck. Most obvious change is the Oldsmobile Bravada front clip. It's also been converted to manual steering, the A/C removed, foot brake was replaced by a handbrake with Celica buckets, et cetera. I wanted a small car and decided I wanted an early '80s Escort. Maybe convert it to Zetec. But the car I bought was far from driveable and I was never able to get a title for it. Ended up scrapped. Still looking for a running/driving one.

Hi all. I'm from North Bedfordshire Currently own a 1985 Cavalier Commander and a 1986 Fiat Uno 45 Formula. Won't bore you with the list of interesting and retro rides I've owned,(there are too many and a good deal were not retro when I owned them),but they include a Zephyr 4,Consul Capri, two ford Econoline dayvans and...and.. I don't attend many big shows since the old Vanfest became just an opportunity to buy more tat to nail to your van,but I do bowl along to local small meets and gatherings. And I'm heavily into bikes, mostly Sixties and Seventies stuff I run my own firm, and,I'm looking forward to reading your stories and seeing your rides. <img class="thumbnail" src="http://www.fiatforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=170231&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1470252112" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version<br><br>Name: IMG_0509.JPG<br>Views: 13<br>Size: 2.71 MB<br>ID: 170231" title="Click image for larger version Name: IMG_0509.JPG Views: 13 Size: 2.71 MB ID: 170231"> The Cavalier pictured as bought off ebay, the Uno was from a Gumtree ad and I've just thrown a bucket of soapy water at it.

Hi all, I'm Kev from Aberdeen, been lurking a lot lately, enjoying some of the builds going on😎 Mostly a VW / hotrod guy but I like anything old & cool! Got an oval beetle drag car that's just made its 1st couple of runs after an 8 year build & another one for the road well underway.

Greetings and salutations! My name's Dave & I have the delights of residing in the county town of Suffolk. I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks and have now signed up. Some of you may know me from the Mini Forum & Midas Forum. I cut my teeth on classic Minis growing up but then got all sensible for a bit. Now had the sense knocked back into me for the past 5 years with a Midas project. It started like this... ...and currently looks like this.
Rebuild thread in progress!!

HI all, I really am Ian :-) I'm based on a narrowboat in Berkshire, have been driving since 1981 and have owned more than 50 cars - although a fair few of them were "projects" that never saw tarmac again except from a distance, after I bought them. I've been a bit of a Triumph man (Dolomites, Toledos and a Spitfire) and have owned plenty of Peugeot 205GTis. More "retro" than "interesting" really! Currently I own a rather dull-sounding Rover 25, which I built as a road-rally car and now use for hillclimbs and sprints (roadgoing 1400cc class). Why am I here? To read, learn, hopefully chat about old cars, grease and rust and all that fun stuff :-) This is the old rally car (Triumph Toledo with Dolomite Sprint drivetrain) and this is the current hillclimber

So beginning of the year my plan was to by something stupid by the end of the year, Well lisa started learning to drive so thought it would be usefull if she had her own car, so i gave her half the money that i had saved up this year so far and told her to look for something sensible, after much ebay gumtree autotrader searching and getting insurance quotes then looking at a few different car's this is what she bought., Not really sure if it fit's in with the retro ethos even though it's nearly 20 Years old. she's going to have a few more lessons and build up her confidence abit before getting it on the road, (Cant Blame Her) think i might need some dutch courage aswell to sit next to her.

Hi, as my avatar says... I'm kinda new. Been lurking a few weeks engrossed in some of the cracking build threads (a citroen cx and a fiat multiugly to name a few) My question is..... what sort of age we talking to classify cars as retro? I know my idea of retro is probably 80s early 90s.... my current oil burners a 2002 (< see what I did there) Ive had a few older cars (1986(I think, maybe 1989),1995,1998x3,2000x2) and some not so new (2007,2008) I would only classify my mk2 golf as retro.... So I don't want to make a build thread or slow progress thread to be more precise, until I know if an 02 plate is acceptable I'm Adam, from sunny Scotland btw

I'm John from Co.Mayo in Ireland bit moved to Devon in 2013. I work for well known BMW/MINI franchise group in Corporate sales. Have a company car but usually have something retro around. I usually buy something on a whim, waste some money fixing it and sell it for a loss when I fancy something else! Haha
Interesting stuff I've owned:
3x Merc 190s '68 Merc 280se '95 BMW M3 '91 Honda CRX '93 Audi 80 Avant 2.0E (surprisingly the favourite car I've ever owned) '95 Volvo 850 T5 (the worst car I've ever owned) '96 Volvo 850 T5 estate '91 eunos roadster nardi edition '91 ALfa Romeo 164 V6 cloverleaf 04 Alfa 147 (perfectly reliable) '90 Merc 200E '83 Porsche 924
Currently have a '95 BMW 328i coupe, would like to try an E30 or E28 if anyone wants a deal?!
With a little family and work I don't get to go to many events. Usually just a pistonheads meet in Exeter and a classic meet in Crediton which I found on Facebook.
