Yep, another thread of strangely cropped photos snapped on a school night... Actual cars...and people. Plenty of 'em too - a diverse selection ranging from 'Oh dear' to 'Oh my'. That's just the lower car park, I think I heard someone say there were 1500-2000 cars on the night. A yellow Escort with a few touches that suggest it was built a while ago. Pretty cool, as it happens. A pair of Passats. One of them isn't mine. Simples (part one) Simples (part two), stock colour (?), slammed, nice rims. Like.

I live local to brands so loads of my friends go to these meets.
The yellow escort at the top is a friend, it had a nice v8 in it.
The green mk3 golf is another of my friends, that is a vr6...

Cool meet, looks fairly casual but 1500 cars! That's impressive! Massive want for that yellow Escort, especially if it has a V8

Hmm, this looks like it'd be worth a gander. That yellow Escort does look nice, with tyres that aren't too small. First Wed in August I'm normally at Croxely Green but maybe I'll head down to Brands Hatch instead. Or perhaps do both.

...back with a few more: Wheel fetishists can enjoy a more focused version below: Such a good looking wheel...it's a shame they're a copy of another design. I'm convinced that the majority of buyers would buy something that looks similar, but isn't a replica wheel - I'd go as far as saying that many buyers don't even know about the Hayashi original. A slight change in design (just the shape/amount of the holes or angle of the spokes would do it) and you could have an equally attractive wheel without the 'fake' tag. On the subject of wheels, here's a close up of the steels that Nova (above) was wearing.

...or if not better, at least slightly longer.
Big fan of the yellow Escort - that rear spoiler would sound odd on paper, but it looks cracking in situ. Nice!

Things you wouldn't expect to work in a minty hue: Mitsubishi Evos. Even with an unlikely colour choice and a non-excessive rear spoiler (as is my preference) it looks mightily mean. On the subject of brightly coloured mean-looking cars...how about Winston's legendary Rover? Winning on many levels. Kleers were there with their patina-tastic Transit giving goodies away and offering prizes. Some bloke called Bryn was on mic duties to announce the winners: in fact Winston was one of those winners, leading to an impromptu and entertaining mini-interview.

Lupo looking good on seemingly tiny allycats. BMW X5 wheels look great on just about everything (X5s excluded, obviously - that just looks boring). Max Power stylie! Modern reference to another era or survivor?

I'm with you on that 6axo . It was extremely well finished and quite restrained for something that's actually very modified. Back to the pictures, apologies for adding them in dribs and drabs...I'm squeezing the uploads in as and when I get the time. Yaers ago, Corsair hubcaps used to appear on all sorts of things, are W123 'caps the new Corsair equivalent? Rallyist Escorts. At first I thought the Saxo behind had a weird roofbox, but then I realised it was just a building behind it!

That white Fiat 128 was at Wheels Day, looked so nice in bone-stock form.
Quite an event by the look of it!
