Hi all
I recently while bored decided buying a taxi was a good idea hmm any way decided i was going to build another quirky vehicle so ive started messing with it first was to man up the steering wheel and gear lever
with that sorted i chopped most of the partition out and dragged some old jag xj4 seats out that id been saving
while i was looking around my stash of stuffs i found an old sunvisor so that got bolted on and thats it so far
Hope youve enjoyed the few pics so far Let me know what you think

Love the idea and thinking of this, have I missed the plan with the wheels?? Ratty on the outside with quilted red leather on the inside would be my direction maybe with a Morgan'esque wooden vaulted ceiling??? And damn you for making a point of the visor I've been looking all over for months for one for my van... Now everyone will be after one!! Good luck with it!

Hi all
the plan will be roof chop it at some point and panel in the rear windows to make a vanesk ratty thing but for now I'm just messing with it in my spare time as my other projects are eating away at my time (theres 19 others so I'm a busy boy at the mo)
spoke to ray at rayvern hydraulics and got a quote to put the thing on air ride with a chassis notch 4 link rear ect and its turned out cheaper than i could get the bits myself so I'm hitting the overtime at work to get some funds up
not sure what to do paint wise yet I'm really tempted to go rusty as i finally perfected my rusting paint so could put that under a top coat of black and sand it through then rust the tops so it looks like its been baked in the sun for years or just go with the standard satin black
wheel wise ive got some xj40 celtic alloys so contemplating making up some adapters and bolting those on but itll involve pulling and sectioning the arches due to the poke. would look cool but it starts eating more time when you have to start contending with x amount of years of taxi wheelarch bodges so thatll stay on the back burner till my workshop is finally built
heres a pic of one of my daily drives just after i rusted her the whole process takes around 3 hours and looks like its got 20 years of rust
Paint applied
Let there be rust

I have a customer who has one of these as a very nice plush wedding car. It could not be more different than yours! I love the way yours is going. The arches would be a great look (I tried to convince my wedding car taxi owner to do this but he would not go for it) He also mentiond he need a new gear shifter. I will show him your pics. It will probably make him pass out! Love your taxi.
