Since I put a pic of my Trike on another thread and a few questions were asked I thought it only fair to start my own thread for it. Well I think the pictures say it all , totally mad and "Over The Top" which is what the original plan was with mad forks and wheels. I know it will not be to everyones taste but most people appreciate the work that has gone into it even if they don't like it. The wheels alone took many hours to complete and it does ride far better than most people think it will These are the first pics I took and I will add another couple over the weekend if time permits.

Impressive! Did you make the wheels from car rims with the centers removed

That's one cool trike, and some pretty ingenious fabrication.

Impressive! Did you make the wheels from car rims with the centers removed I would love to take the credit for the work that has gone into this trike but sadly I can't. It has been the idea of two very talented guys that did all the planning, working out, parts sourcing and main build. I just happened to be looking at a motorcycle they were selling and saw this in their workshop and had to have it. It wasn't for sale as they hadn't finished it but I managed to talk them into selling it with a few little jobs to finish off. I still have some final adjustments to make and a few parts to replace for better quality items as I find them. To answer your question yes they are car rims with the centres cut out and then very carefully laced with stainless spokes and god knows how many hours went it that part of the project alone.

I have now managed to get a bracket welded on to the forks so the front brake caliper can be fitted ( now done ) As I had to fit a new front brake cable I decided to change the rear brake cable to black at the same time which I think looks better just need to get it polished back up to pre welding shine

Looks impressive! Are both rear wheels driven? I would imagine if so and without any sort of diff it's quite difficult to pedal round corners?
