Hi,
Reluctantly I am putting my Triumph Toledo up for sale. I have owned the car for near on 3 years now and have loved owning
it and the attention it receives. I bought the car when it was completely stock running its original 1300 engine.
Since owning the triumph I have fitted GAZ adjustable coils and shocks all round, rear anti roll bar, Dolomite
Sprint wheels, disc brake conversion on front, new rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes with H4 halogen headlight
conversion on front. I drove the Triumph like this for around a year and a half. After travelling many miles going
to lots of shows I decided she needed a tad more power. So the triumph is now running a ford 2.8 cologne and a
type 9, 5 speed gearbox. The engine and gearbox are out of a 1983 injection Ford Capri but now running a brand new
38dgas Webber carb which works great with the engine.
I carried out the following to the engine whilst it
was out of the car:
Heads were faced and valves were re lapped in
Engine was homed out with new piston rings fitted
New main bearings and small end shells
New complete clutch kit fitted
Gearbox cleaned stripped and re gasketed
The following new bits where fitted to the engine bay to go with the 2.8:
Brand new custom made 4 row radiator
New twin electric fans
New clutch cable
Oil pressure Gauge
Rev counter gauge
Custom speedo cable
The interior is in excellent condition with its original all black vinyl seats with no rips or nasty marks, the
headlining has a few dirty marks on it but no rips.
I have covered around 1500 miles to retro show at Santa Pod and Hotrod Hayride trouble free and have loved driving
it long and short distance. I reluctantly have it up for sale due to having bought a new project and needing
the space. I have uploaded a few pictures of the car (I hope!) that hopefully does the car justice because it must
be seen. I'm asking £5250 ono for an incredibly nice car! I'm based near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, feel free to
contact me on 07875224137 any time.
Many thanks Laurence
Forgot to mention the Triumph has around 11 months MOT & TAX. Also I forgot to mention the engine had a brand new water pump on it when engine was built and has a k&n air filter on it witch is not on it in pictures. Also the car has a dolomite sprint 3.63 diff in it to give the car a really compfortable cruising speed.
