Yeah I know, another car But for me this is different, this car was on my bucket list to own I never imagined I'd have the chance to buy one but when the opportunity came I had to grab it. (Because of this I now have to sell one of my current cars to replenish my garage build fund) But this car is worth it. So I went to view the said car and was pleasantly surprised at how solid it was. Even now, its sat on my drive I'm still finding out how solid it really is. With my XJS as I looked further into the nooks and crannies all I found was rust but this car is just awesome solid metal. I left there very happy, put down a deposit and the next day she was sat on my drive. All I could do was smile. Excuse the mucky floor mats.
She was fully restored in the late 80's and last on the road 3yrs ago, so she only needs light recommissioning. I took her for a drive round the farm today. I really can't wait to take her on the road.

Hot damn, that's gorgeous. As for paintwork, the patina looks good to a certain extent, although it would be worth tidying up some the scabbier bits like the bottom of the drivers door a bit. Write to the DooVLA and slip them a £5 cheque to see how much previous owner info you can get hold of. Does it come with much history?

As someone with a major soft spot for old French cars I have to say well done on scoring that one, one of the the Frenchest French cars ever.

Amazing. Wish I had a good photo of one I saw at a historic race meeting last year. Low & widened rims it looked terrific. Comments of its solidity sound ironic when it looks so rusty superficially, where XJS looked so smart.

Paintwork will get some treatment in the future, possibly even a respray in satin maroon or black. But until my garage is built it'll have to rock some patina. Lots of history, two big folders to be exact. Plus the original owners manual which is handy.

Slough build?
Looks lovely, I always wondered how these would turned out with 'the treatment'
Should be pretty badass with lowering, banded steelies, pepped DS engine and a 4 box.

I'd be tempted to repair the paintwork panel-by-panel with Montana graffiti paint, flatting and buffing as you went. Cheap and old-school. Either way, gorgeous little thing. Love the old Citroens.
