Well the old Porca went of to a new home and a RR user :)who i hope has as good a time as i did with the car.
So looking for a bigger replacement,so i could fit my ever growing clan of kids dogs ect,my hart was set on a very nice Volvo 240 gl estate manual that had just gone through ebay for £500 without a single bid!! and was re listed with a low starting bid.
Well after a few emails i had the car in the bag for £550 if i could collect that evening...which i couldnt due to a late workin wife so the auction was left run one more day and i was outbid last seconds which really upset me.
Now Ive always wanted a jag but knowing nothing about them, except they look cool, on the hunt i went.
Loads and loads for cheap XJ6's about so with my fingers itching i began a epic email fora, emailing many, many XJ sellers.
A few good reply's most owners were a bit vague with there answers ,until i had a very honest reply for a nice bloke in brum who had his jag up for sale at an allready low price.
So he said to me "my wife's gonna kill-me if i don't get rid asap"
I said "how quick do you need to move it"
He said "now please"
"OK" i said "£500 is the best i can do if i pick it up today"
"no Problem" he said
So off i went to brum to collect the car.
The car is a
1996 Jaguar xj6 sport (x300)
107k
11 months mot
5 months tax
NO service history.
CAT C in 2002.
Only one key and no fob
But for a monkey its worth a punt >>>right!
Well i picked the car up, paid my money in nice new £20 pound notes, and drove the jag 101 miles back to Manchester, mostly motoways, without a single fault, and all at motorway speeds! and returned a healthy 30.2 mpg (going down to 18.4 ER uphill)
Anyhow, i am either mad or just mad.
Piccys for your time
MINE
Not to shabby
And for your enjoyment
Cheers
Chris
