Hi
Just thought I'd post a pic of my daft old car, if you live around Aberdeen you may already have noticed it gracing the streets with its glamorous awesomeness.
I've been into Bluebirds for ages now as their just so dependable and cheap to own, this is my third one having found the saloon to be to inflexible for carrying large items where as the hatchback swallows anything. I'd have loved an estate but never managed to find one.
This is my daily ride and gets a lot of use, so fuel economy and usability is far more important than speed. Not one to take cars remotely seriously (can you tell?) I kind of went a bit bonkers with the paint work. Having been quoted £1500 for just the materials for a vinyl wrap, pardon?! I did the whole car in camo for £40 with krylon gun spray paint in just 3 hours start to finish and it was a total doddle to do and a lot of fun. It's been like that for a year now and is still fresh looking. The wheels, well their just very silly in orange and why not...?
My biggest enjoyment is when its parked a work, surrounded by very expensive but incredibly dull looking executive cars, as you can imagine there are quite a few comments about the thing... though it never seems to stop them going out in it at lunch time to Asda.
Benefits of this lovely paint job are - You can't tell if I haven't bothered to clean it, bird poop is really difficult to notice, super quick to touch up and ironically it is even more noticeable than a pink polka dot ferrari i.e. is good for road safety.
The hardest bit is keeping a straight face as it totally offends yet another granny
Enjoy...
Cheers, Scott
