Removing paint off anodized wheels???

Hey guys. I've got some Compomotive Turbo 3pc wheels I'm currently refurbing to go on my mk2 escort.
The previous owner has sprayed the fronts satin black, however I can see from the back that the original anodized gold is still under there.

What's the best way of getting the paint off the centres without hurting the anodizing and/or the alloy underneath? I've read paint stripper won't hurt anodized bits, but was wondering if there is anything I could sit the centres in for a few hours/days that would dissolve the paint? Trying to keep sanding to a minimum really to save any scratching etc caused by sanding.

Any generic paint stripper should do the job and not hurt the anodized bit....it's robust stuff

Your only take the anodizing off with caustic soda, so no worries there. I use synstrip now, best stripper i found.

Ok guys, so make sure I get a non caustic stripper???
If I sit the centres in a bowl of paint stripper will it dissolve over time? Or does it need a little encouragement? Was thinking an old scrubbing brush might help lift the paint but not Mark the anodizing??

Use a paint stripper and stipple it on with a paint brush, keeping it "wet". You could sit it in a bowl but paint stripper is quite expensive. Anyway, the stippling action helps agitate the paint
