got a practically brand new Megasquirt ECU plus loom (has map sensor fitted too) . Was used to fire my up c20xe in my mini during the build stage before i got offered an unbelievable deal on a MBE ecu loom which is fitted the mini. I think its a MS1 with the v2.2 board the ecu was run up a couple of times in the garage before i switched over to the MBE ecu and is mapped for a vauxhall c20xe on weber style throttle bodies, with a wasted spark ignition (60-2 trigger wheel). probably about 150-170bhp. cost about £400 delivered IIRC from Phil Ringwood, the well know Megasquirt guru (www.extraefi.co.uk) New ecus are currently £350 plus £55 for the loom. surplus to requirments Offers on £275 cheers Matt

I take it this can be reverted back to the normal ford type trigger wheel? Also do you have the EDIS to go with it or are you using that? Thanks

its fully configurable to most trigger wheel set ups. I didn't use EDIS as my redtop engine is dispack (no distributor), so uses the ECU's built-in coil drivers. IIRC its got 2 coil drivers so is currently set up for 4 cylinder wasted spark firing. As with megasquirt it'll run EDIS no problem.
I'd drop to £240 as it includes the fully labelled pro-built loom.

I'm being (doubly) lazy. I've got an unassembled MS1 kit - presumably the MS2 does everything the MS1 does and a bit more?

OK, looking on here www.extraefi.co.uk/compare.htm i think my megasquirt is a MS1 as it doesn't have the canbus interface but with the v2.2 board. i'll chnage the ad description and title accordingly

I have to assume yes, as Phil Ringwood also wrote the Ms-E firmware.

Could this be used to run a type 4 2.0ltr turbo aircooled vw motor .

Googling "megasquirt" and "aircooled" gets lots of installation info. Its no different to any other 4 stoke engine but I think you use the oil temp instead of coolant temperature to tell the ecu about engines temp.I'm no expert so best to check for yourself first.

Also, it does have a map sensor facility but it's 2.5 bar. You'd have to check if that suitable for turbo installs
