Need a bit of guidance on what steel thickness to use for my custom sump I'll be dabbing soon, what have other used? I'm kinda edging with 2mm. I know pressed ones are quite thin generally like 1mm but being pressed formed are quite rigid

Well your going to have welded right angles so 2mm would provide ridigity . I don't think you would need it thicker [ overkill] .

The ones I do are 2mm . Fuses well with the Tig and no filler rod

The ones I do are 2mm . Fuses well with the Tig and no filler rod You sold me on being ideal for tig with no filler, will look nice and tidy. |
