Hi chaps (and ladies?),
In a drunken fit of rage I bought this delight over the phone without seeing it and relying on a poor description: 'i think it's like an E21 but it has 4 doors. Does that make it a 2002?'. Turns out its worse than I have the skills to deal with.
It's pretty rotten. When i say pretty rotten, I mean the very. I think it's saveable, but only if you're prepared to put the hours in. Otherwise it will break pretty well, but I just don't have the time and space.
The story is that some chap took it to be MOT'd, serviced and sprayed back in 1996. When he came to collect the car, he wasn't happy with the spray job so it sat in the mechanics yard up until about a month ago when I came along.
It's red. Carbed 2.5 straight 6 (M30 or some derivative of?), manual. It doesn't run, although i've not tried to get it to. But i think with some fresh fuel and oil it's got a good chance of exploding back in to life.
There have only been two owners from new, and the interior (albeit missing the odd trim piece here and there and the addition of the odd spider) looks pretty effing decent.
Model: BMW E3 2500
Year: 1972
Mileage: 96k
Tax: Nope
MOT: Don't be silly
Pics:
Location: Sheffield
Price: £700 ono
Contact details: 078351995seven2. I get a lot of spam calls, so if I don't answer then leave a voicemail or send a text and I'll call you back.
Thanks,
Pete
