I've just returned from RRG and as such I'm sorting through some photos. Rather than go straight into my Gathering shots I thought I'd keep things in order and get these ones in a thread for y'all first. Allow me to transport you back in time to a sunny evening in July through the medium of narrowly cropped photos. We'll see what was happening on track first and visit the paddock later:   Minis! The brownish one was ridiculously quick (especially given it's understated look) and the driver was obviously slightly loony.  James has many splendid toys, this being his latest one - a Porsche for nights just like this. ...whilst we're on the subject of Porsches...  Longman's mate Mark in a Porsche  Another of Longman's mates, coincedentally also called Mark in another Porsche |

Yep, I'm getting bored with these shots now too. How can I make it more interesting? I know...I'll shoot through a tree!   No trees in this one, but look at the lovely bright evening sun shining on this Clio. Beautiful isn't it?   Really pushing the boat out now. Two cars! Like Scalextric, but bigger. |

Soon after those shots were taken some motorbikes took to the track. I'm sure some would find it interesting but I got bored rather quickly (I think they might have been track day virgins as they appeared to be quite slow, despite have big and noisy current bikes). So I headed for the paddock...   Marks (probably).  This Sunbeam Lotus left just as I started snapping. Coincidence? Or was it part of an elaborate plan...there was another one there too, but it hid behind a tree:  Next time Sunbeams, you'll be mine! Mwahahahaaa etc. |

Nice. Its shame I'm so far from Brands now. Its one of the few tracks id pay to drive a track day at.
Did they have many stoppages? I assume its an open pit-lane type afair too? We did a Retro Ford one years ago and it was great.

We did a Retro Ford one years ago and it was great. I don't know that much about the way it's run, I'm afraid. I just wander round the pits, chat to people and stroll up to Druids for a few snaps. That said, the cars seemed to be going out in groups on that particular night. |

  We'll just pretend there isn't a huge dark shadow ruining these photos and just look at these two quality buses, the Bay being the owner of the lovely modernised interior in the next photo:   On the way out they let us go across the track rather than under it, so I got to pretend (briefly) I was actually driving on it! ...and that's all there is. |

I would still like to run a shoe at Brands... Dates and cost are a bit tricky.
