Over the moon! just going to leave a few pictures for you to piece together what I'm working with! My first 2.6 silky smooth 6 cylinder Rare manual (these manual mercedes keep finding me, first the w124 ce and now this) full sportline interior racked up some miles in it last night and didnt want to go to bed! its good to be back

i have a 190e 2.0 auto i bought new in 1991 and has never needed more than servicing and consumable parts. now go 205k and still feels like new

Now that is nice! I set out looking for a black, automatic 2.6 Sportline, ended up with a brown, 1.8, manual with standard suspension. Great cars these though, in 10k and 6 months mine's needed a water pump

NI used to have an automatic Sportline and that was quick enough!

Painted the grill and mirrors today,will paint the wiper arms and few other things tomorrow

Done it on every mercedes iv had. only take a few minutes to get the grill off. well worth doing. makes a massive difference
|

The 190 is probably one of the nicest modern Mercedes ever built imo. I'd love a high powered version as a family holiday car. Were they ever delivered withte 300e engine?

The 190 is probably one of the nicest modern Mercedes ever built imo. I'd love a high powered version as a family holiday car. Were they ever delivered withte 300e engine? this 2.6 is the biggest engine offered and its a lovely engine at that

plenty of w124 engine conversions about. fairly easy also. the 3ltr m103 is a straight swap but also your not gaining much power
