Ok a few questions for you air ride guys, I am using stainless/ptfe flexi leader lines to my bags and they go into the bottom of the bag. My bags at the top are hard mounted to my chassis and I want to clean up the system and reduce connections.
could I flip the bag and just run a hard line to the top of the bag? or is this going to cause problems with water filling the bag in time and not draining away? I do have a filter/water trap on my setup between compressor and tank but I doubt if all the water is taken out completely.
Thanks
Rob

The water trap is to prevent buildup of water inside the system past the tank, you should be fine flipping the bag as long as it sits on the mounting points fine, I've seen solid lines done before. You should be aware that if your car uses MacPherson Strut at the front then you will not be able to use solid lines without working out a way of making the bag stay in place and not rotate. It may do that already, I'm not sure, but its something to look out for.

thanks, my bags don't rotate and the tops are bolted direct to the chassis so will flip them and clean up the install with less connections and maybe stop a few leaks as well! I have asked this on some other sites and pretty much got the same answers. My bags have embossed writing on them and fitting them with the writing the correct way up makes the air inlet at the bottom so I assumed they had to be fitted that way! cheers

All I'd say is once in a while, maybe whip one or two of the bags out and check for condensation. it's unlikely though.

all the HGV trailers I've worked on and replaced bags on are top fed, none use "flexis" as such, just black plastic line.
