In process of putting an S2000 engine in my 76 chevette, wondering what axles i should be looking at, i believe a manta A bolts right up, not sure about manta B, icould fit an atlas but would need lots o mods, chevette HS are pricey and very rare
Any other thoughts or advice from anyone would be much appriciated :-)

The Isuzu Piazza axle is almost a straight swap apart from changing the Panhard rod round, and it comes with and LSD. The Scimitar Se5a Salisbury 4HA axle was a popular swap at one time if you go to a 5 link set up. The Se6a axle is easier to find but is wider so you need Group 4 or HSR arches. Anything can be made to fit if you are handy with a welder, so Volvo axles are a cheap option. The S2000 doesn't have that much torque so I'd go for the Piazza axle.

A B axle will fit but they are wider so you are limited with wheel choice. I have seen one that ran a B axle with VW golf steels on the rear and standard arches. A piazza one would be better though (if you can find one).

The Piazza axles are really rare now. Not sure how reliable a manta B axle will be with 240 BHP running through it. If it were me I would source the Scimitar Se5a axle. Very strong, 5 linked and a massive range of final drives from 3.3 to 5.1. Power lock LSD's were used in these axles in a lot of Jags so they are relatively cheap and easy to come by. I'm using the wider Se6 axle in my Ascona.
