Occasionally I come across a car that I had absolutely no idea existed. This week it is the turn of this concept car from BMW the Nazca It has a 5 litre V12 from the E31 8 series, so you know it'll be 100% reliable and easy to repair....... Rear has shades of NSX about it Blue colour coded plastic interior is rather 90's! It is carbon fibre and would also suggest it has a bit of McLaren F1 about, but that may just be me projecting because of the engine choice What is most exciting about this one though is that it is for sale : www.thefuriousinc.com/en/car/168/BMW+ItalDesign+Nazca+%281of+only+3+build%29+UNREGISTEREDConcept Cars don't come up for sale often, certainly not with dealers (they tend towards the Auction end of the market), so it is pretty cool to see one that if you had the means you could just walk out and buy! A tiny bit more about the cars can be found here : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_Nazca_C2

I have a model of this in the loft, I was a big fan of Italdesign around this era and was really pleased when Revell (I think?) made a model of this car.
I've only ever seen them in silver, it's really strange seeing one in blue. Looks good though...

I'm sure this was on an early Need For Speed game on the PC, the one with the GT90 and a couple of other concept cars. I didn't realise it was a real working car.

Yep, I too remember this one from Need for Speed II SE! Sort of. The one in the game was the C2 version, which looked like this:

That's the sucker Samage. I remember having the cheat codes which meant you could, if you chose to, drive any of the cars that made up the 'traffic'. I think I spent more time cruising the courses in a semi truck or a school bus.

My initial reaction is that I first came across this via Top Trumps, but '92/'93 was probably too late for that. Hmm, I probably still bought the occasional modern car magazine then (eg Performance Car) so maybe it was shown in one of those?
Hmmm, a quick Google shows it to have been in the October '91 issue of Road and Track. And the cover looks vaguely familiar...

Cannot remember what it was but it trounced everything despite looking like a plymouth prowler IIRC.

That's mad! Love it! I hate to think what Colin Chapman would make of it's handling though.
