Well here she is, bought yesterday by my Grandad, she's got 12,000 miles on the clock, running a 2.0 V4 Petrol engine with a 4 speed box (we're debating running a Pinto with a 5 speed box...), and has been somewhat of a film star, appearing in the film 'The Bank Job' (we're 99% sure it's this one, it has the mk1 mirror holes blanked off and mk2 mirrors fitted, as well as the slightly sagged suspension on the drivers side...surely it's the same one?!) in a different livery (See first 3 pictures) and on different plates, Heartbeat, and George Gently!
Some of you may have seen it advertised in Classic Car Weekly back in 2007.
The plans are to restore it back to it's former glory, with the original orange stripe and signwriting. This could be one to look out for!
Here are the photo's of the Transit when it was in it's 'The Bank Job' livery/snapshots of the film itself...
And this is how she is now
As you can see from the pictures, the body/cab need attention, but the interior, and the stretchers/ambulance equipment are like brand new, it even has the hooks hanging from the roof for the drip bags...
I'll get some more pictures later, the drawers infront of the left hand side stretcher and brimmed with 70's plaster's/bandages. It really is a true time warp!
Thanks for looking!
