Hiya guys I'm Dan and am from the midlands current cars are 12 classic minis,mk2 golf 1.6 driver,mk3 golf 2.0 16v (breaking) and a 205gti 1.6 and don't worry its all been paid for by myself lol. not a spoilt little brat.
ill start with the mk2 golf. brought this car back in 2012 when I started working at a VAG specialist in the midlands. As soon as I seen it I wanted it and sold my 106 quiksilver for her best decision ever.
and this is when I got her.
Then I made the worse decision ever I sold her
Then one day I was at work one day and I had someone message me via Facebook asking if I knew anyone interested in a mk2 golf. and as I missed mine thought ild have a look.... what are the chances it would be my old golf... well it was and I couldn't say no. so finally got her back. plan was to use for 6 months then take it off the road and do the 1.8t conversation. well 3 weeks shy the worst thing happened, I was driving home at 2 in the morning on a Friday night was in a foul mood, no idea why but came off the roundabout bit faster than I should to be greeted with a car coming head on with no headlights, so I swerved close my eyes and waited for the BANG and sure enough the bang came, engine shut off everything turned off I looked around and the other car had sped off. luckily no bodywork damage, rear axel was twisted badly the front wishbones where like bananas and the steering rack was bent, yes the actual body of the rack had bent. but managed to drive her home and parked her up.
I was annoyed but not massively as I was going wide track so it all had to be changed anyway.
how I got her back different wheels which where curse word
pics of the bent bits
rear axel
front wheels steering wheel is straight and wasn't moved
and it all started engine out
unfortunately I cant find the pics of me changing all the subframes, tank and rear axel
but engine in
then I decided to wrinkle black most bits just looks better and OEM
will update when other pics upload
thanks dan
