Definitely needs to be swapped into the new manifold or a replacement purchased. It's a sensor crucial to the smooth and safe operation of the engine. Much like asking can you remove the MAP sensor or AFM. It would be worth asking a local garage to knock it loose for you with a special sensor socket and when you refit, just nip it up with a 22mm spanner. They don't have to be very tight.

jobs like this for the home mechanic can prove annoying to remove, but my solution was to go my local friendly independent garage and ask him kindly to whip it off for me and he did exactly with the correct tools no stress for me and he done it for nothing!

Yeah I understand the importance of them. Just trying to think of was to get it running lol. I Can be a bit lazy. I have purchased one off eBay for £13 so all good now.
Going to take the mani into the workshop at lunch and give it a go at least I will be able to hold it in a vice then.
And if I get it out I'll just stick it on eBay for the same price or have a spare.
Cheers Matt
