its got 35 teeth on CROWN and 15 on poin been told its 3.18 ratio bought for my mk2 escort its no good with that ratio been told more likely came off v6 car can anyone put any light on it lol

Yes thats a koln axle , as its got the same internals as a english axle , google image a atlas and look at a picture of its guts .

Hi, that CROWNwheel and pinion set give a ratio of 2.33.

That looks like an atlas to me, Koln axles have uneven spaced bolts and the cover bolts directly into the diff case, Atlas axles have even spaced bolts and the cover bolts to a flange around the diff casing.
At 52 inches it's a Mk2/3 capri atlas, cortina Kolns where 54 inches and escort 48 inches, Kolns where never fitted to capris.
