So variously being the benevolent dictator of Retro Rides I come across a range of folk, recently I had cause to chat to the proprietor of Kent Models, and boy is he on our wave length. They are importing all kinds of retro/modified models from Japan, all those things that are troublesome to get over here (or you play the import tax lottery on), the Liberty Walk, Rocket Bunny, Grand Championship style model kits from Japan... if you are into RC stuff check out the couple of 1:10 bodies they do as well! They also stock a range of RC stuff, including the Zakspeed Capri. www.kentmodels.co.ukThis stuff is what they do, not just something they happen to stock, so keep an eye on them and expect more goodness to show up. I've spoken to Dan at Kent Models and he is going to offer RR a discount, so expect him to pop up with details of that If you are building any models or doing some RC fun times don't forget to post in Readers Other Mods, I'm tempted to do a model competition at RR Gathering. Also I need to finish the Liberty Walk Skyline I bought when I was in Japan in April

Oh wow! Too much fun in one place. Still, the winter is coming and those of us with the urge to get modelling again could do worse than order one of those superb kits from Kent Models. As for a model contest at the Gathering, yes please, I'll be up for that.

I'll need to start a ROM thread on this (in fact I may stick a sticky at the top of that section for Kent Models), but I've been inspired to get going on this : My paints a bit bubbly on the body work.. I'm hoping I can sort that out or with the decals on it it won't notice so much :/

Heh I always duck in to the model section when I'm in Takashimaya, etc. I shall endeavour to see if they have any interesting cars this time. Usually I just look at the anime stuff..
