Very rare now a days ! hardly even see them at classic car shows ! I've had two (back in the day) had a 2.5 PI auto, I was only 19 and insured through my day, but sold it after a year, got more for it than I paid for it, about 3 years later I got a nice red 2500S, only kept that for about a year too, I'll have to try a dig out my photos of them, actual photo's - somewhere !
It's ok folks. You can include Mk1 cars here too. I need a mojo boost to get back to mine.
This seems one to be the best the googles have to offer
If anyone knows of a Mk1 being broken for parts and wouldn't mind shipping stuff to a fellow on the other side of the world let me know. There are a few bits I cannot seem to source
I did finally drive it after it's 25 year slumber in a field tho.
Those Triumph sedans are among the best looking sedans ever, and the estate is to die for! Didn't know you had one ditchdigger, good to see you here
Sometimes I have an itch to get rid of my comparatively more "complicated" cars, and just get a piece of beautiful English engineering... this thread doesn't help.
Change the wheels for Alleycats and we're on to a winner with this one.
This was superb, the right height is exactly right. Not the most inspired wheel choice but it's nice to see some thought has gone into the finish on them rather than just out-the-box silver. Would definitely like to know more.
As good as they look as a super shiny machine, I've got a lot of time for ones that have been modified by nature and time, like these two shabby lovelies. Bonus points for the second one not being on Minilites.
I love these and it was a close run thing as to whether I ended up with the Scimitar or one of these. The only reason the Scimitar won is because one came up reasonably local to me first. Plans with a Triumph included a modern BMW straight six and gearbox. Such a conversion has now been successfully carried out by andyborris on here and featured in PPC magazine. See his build thread here: retrorides.proboards.com/thread/118875/1969-triumph-2000-mk1#.VDAUBvldVKA
In the mean time, here's some google images. I know nothing about these cars.
Going on from my recent thread, I treckon a black JPS scheme would work.
