This probably isn't going to come to anything but if anyone in the swindon or surrounding area is offered any Humber car parts please can they let me know - I had all of the parts that I broke MightyMorks Snipe for, stolen yesterday afternoon. It is worth f.a. in scrap and useful only to those with series models Hawks and Super Snipes. Specific items are: front suspension crossmember and associated parts, rear axle, full PAS setup and bonnet.
Any info dealt with in confidence.

I was straight around all of them this morning and got some more info from the neighbours as to the culprits so have passed it on and am doing a little detective work of my own. I'm not hopeful but I won't sit back and just moan about it.

lost a complete 1600 e and all the rebuild parts way back in 1998 still peeves me to this day as local police more or less werent interested and worse still insurance had just run out well you learn your lesson but now double lock everything and grill on the windows . Shouldnt have to as after all its an hobby but sometimes the value is more personal than monetary. Sadly we become victims and it is frustrating to even think precious rare parts are seen as scrap to low life. Hope you get a good outcome on this.

Highworth.
Some mother f***ers turn up, takes what doesn't belong to them and leave. The end.

And yes, the cops rather predictably don't appear to give a flying whatever - but then it's probably not part of this months 'to achieve' list....(but this isn't an anti-cop rant thread lol)

Highworth. Some mother f***ers turn up, takes what doesn't belong to them and leave. The end. Just down the road from me, shall keep my eye out. When I said circumstances I ment burglary? Off drive/garden? Day/night? Any vehicles seen etc? Perhaps not the end!

I did wonder about your location, given the username being a slang for the village of which I speak! :-)
On the drive. I broke the car there too which was a source of (positive) interest for the neighbours. Therefore, the culprits and their vehicle were seen but sadly no registration number. Three people, at least one woman (the driver), all in red tops....?!

At least your neighbours are witness's (Nosy) but what was the toe rags vehicle they were in? All red tops sounds curious!

The neighbours in the cul de sac are golden - petrol heads, bikers, enthusiastic onlookers, I haven't had such good true old skool neighbours for a long time.
Van was a red transit size thing.

Sticky fingered little scumbags. Is it worth sharing a list of what went missing in case suspicious job lots of parts become available? I'm not in the Swindon area but I am a Humber owner and do keep my eye on ebay / Friday Ad etc for parts.

^ Scrub that suggestion. I just noticed you already did list the parts.
It's early in the morning (10:15am), so brain not working properly.
Just out of interest though... was there other stuff they could have taken but didn't? reason for asking is if they just took all the stuff that was shiftable they were probably opportunists looking to sell on. If they took the things they took but left other stuff that could have been moved... that would suggest they had specific needs maybe? So they own a Humber.

I'm in the area so I'll keep an eye out but it's unlikely I'll hear of much tbh most people know me for my bikes not cars. Have you tried posting a message on the "Swindon rod n custom" facebook page?

I'm not on Facebook so I can't but if anyone is and would be kind enough I'd seriously appreciate it. I will get something down so it can be copy and paste'd.
They took everything so I'd say opportunist and not owner related but you never know....?
