Could anyone shed some light on this one? I have a B2 83 carbed auto 1600 with a WV code engine in it. I need to replace the pipe from the back of the head to the auto choke on the carb. The number I have come up with is 026121058C from: www.partscats.info/audi/en/?i...parent_id=1284I think this is correct however nothing comes up on google or ebay and my local source (wvs) in Bristol has tried ordering it from VVW. It is now on backorder with no delivery date. VWS parts bloke thinks this is the same as saying **** off I have tried buying pipe from the reel my local autoparts. It was then I clicked that one end is 13mm(carb) and the other is 16mm (pipe on back of head). Any help appreciated.... Have a pic of for your time... wish I still had that one

How about making it in copper with Yorkshire fittings, 15mm and 12mm reducer/bends as necessary, the raised rings will allow you to use rubber pipe and get a good seal. Paint it black once done if you need to discuise it.

thanks gents.
Would like to keep it original if I can. Its only done 50K from new. I have focussed on just the pipe and have not even considered 'outside' the box.....

I'm assuming you've tried gsf and ecp? They're usually pretty good at getting parts in that aren't on the shelf

Use original. I had a 82 Passat 1600 and same hose burst. New VW part expensive so I found a new Ford hose that was the right shape so fitted that only for it to split within days. As an emergency AA fitted a length of plain hose to get me home and again it burst after a few miles. Both time it was due, I reckon, to the difference in end dia. Next day bit the bullet and forked out for a genuine hose and never had any more problems.
