thnx the grey one is just for reference, not mine.. but that guy has helped me make some decisions on what parts to use. my RX-7 has been a 8 year learning process, and from that i also learned what NOT to do. that's why i have taken more care in planning and building this new project. that's partly why i do it, i love the feeling of that moment when you turn the ignition and the engine comes to life, knowing i built that

Wow. Love the details! I like the gauges. Which g box is that? If it has the same take off thread as a series 1,2,3 box then you can use a electronic speedo pick up from a 90's toyota celica. They screw straight on perfectly and there you have a simple way to get your pulse for your gauge. But you've sorted that now:-)

Been paying closer attention to the photos; I see OMP lines and injectors but how will you supply them? Using the original OMP or a remote pump with separate oil reservoir? Always interested to hear solutions to this one; I'm currently premixing on my FB and using the stepper OMP on the FD but I'm not sure I'm happy with either method 100%

Always interested to hear solutions to this one; I'm currently premixing on my FB and using the stepper OMP on the FD but I'm not sure I'm happy with either method 100% I built my own OMP adapter to fit a S4 OMP onto the 12A front cover and to block off the standard oil passage and indeed run a separate tank with 2-stroke oil. 2 of the lines go onto the oil injectors on the housings, the other 2 will go onto the float bowls of the carb, so it's almost like premixing I absolutely hate premixing...! I don't want the hassle at the gas station, figuring out how much oil I need to put in before I fill up. My tank is 1,5 liter in capacity, so I just dump in an entire bottle in one go, no hassle in that The S4 OMP is mechanically linked to the throttle, so it always works

Yeah, it sounds like the best of both worlds. I was thinking about one of the Rotary Aviation OMP separator plates, but then my fabrication skills rather below yours, lol. Not brave enough to try making my own!

I had one from them on my FC, but that one didn't fit anymore with this setup I had a good example of how it should work so built a new one

fitted an oil supply to the float bowls so that i get a bit of premix next to the housing injectors for better lubrication of the apex-seals. its also adjustable so i can prevent saturation of the float bowls made a bracket for the throttle and choke cables

You're a lucky guy i have always wanted an RX4 if i could get my hands on a shell no one would ever see me util that thing was done.
really clever work with the intake flanges and carbs good effort, I'm looking at putting a weber downdraught on my rx4 lump in the viva but finacially its proving tricky.
do you know anything about the old hitatchi carbs as thats what i have and its being a pig to get right!

Now having images of a white RX-4 with a brilliant red leather interior. Would look amazing, but so will red on red.
