Hello.Can you help?
My son has just fitted a new slave cylinder to his Civic. Easy enough job. But we are trying to bleed and cant get any fluid coming out the bleed nipple. Clutch seems fine and good pressure? Have we done something wrong? Should there be fluid from the nipple?
Thanks in advance Sinky

is it topped up with enough fluid?, if I can get em to bleed the normal way I let em self bleed with the nipple open for a while ,
why was the slave replaced? because the master could be at fault,.

Ymax on fluid. The slave was replaced because it was leaking. The master looks ok.

Hi, from experience I would do the master as well, in the past if one has failed the other has failed shortly after. One thing you could try is to connect an oil can, with brake fluid in, to the bleed nipple and pump fluid back up into the master which should take the air up with it.

1: Check replaced part, I have had after market parts that have had no holes drilled for bleed nipple or feed pipe! (Euro's anyone???) 2: Schoolboy error's, is the pipe clamp still on or feed hose twisted, bleeding correctly? (no offence meant by these comments!) 3: Seals in master cylinder turned due to ridges in cylinder wall stopping fluid flow? (usually happens to brake masters due to sudden excessive travel when bleeding) 4: curse word in reservoir blocking feed? 5: Air lock, try to suck fluid through using clear pipe fixed on the bleed nipple (be careful not to get a mouthful!) 6: Bleed as normal but when lifting pedal (nipple closed) go very slowly, some cylinders are very slow to re-fill. 7: Finally, shut nipple, pump the hell out of pedal until some resistance is felt, prop pedal down with something, leave overnight, try again in the morning. This can encourage the air to travel to the reservoir.
Other then that I'm out of ideas!
