	Howdy All Hoping some of you guys can help, i'm currently converting a DOHC 2.3 I4 lump from a galaxy to RWD in my old ford, i've done my research and have got my shopping list and a few bit's already, i got my game plan and i'm pretty damn happy with it, the one link i'm not 100% with is the clutch/flywheel combo, now i've researched and spoken to a few people and got a few different theories, stories but 1 keeps coming up which is the one i'm going to try, which is an 1800 zetec flywheel redrilled for a pinto clutch, easy as pie, now i also here about some people using transit release bearings as well to help with peddle travel, i've also come across there being a 10mm gap that requires spacing?? now from what i know the DOHC 8v flywheel is thick as hell but i'm not using that and other than that can't see why there is this apparent gap? I guess i'm using this more as a sounding post to bounce ideas in my head as such but i'd be keen to here if anyone has ideas on this please and also if anyone thinks the above combo of 1800 zetec flywheel redrilled for a pinto clutch won't work to save me some hassle later on. 	Where they mt75 boxs then ? Pretty sure there not. The transit twin cams came with type 9 aswell I think.

	No twincam ever came with a type 9 only the MT75 The old trick was to use a diesel B/H (deeper but hard to find nowdays) on a petrol type 9 to take into account the twinks uber thick flywheel but that moves the box back or the engine forward not ideal, some peeps skim 8-10mm (ish) off the flywheel face or use an 1800 RWD CVH flywheel although IIRC with the CVH flywheel you have to use the 1600 pinto release bearing as it's thicker but it's been a while, DOHC and pinto clutches are identical only the release bearings differ. This conversion was all documented on the sierra owners forum but i cant seem to find it in the public domain any more ?

Cheers All Bortaf that's pretty much what I've come across dude but hearing it from you makes me feel better as i know your rep on here and BSC so if you know it then i know it's good intel, i didn't realise the clutches on the DOHC & Pinto were the same, are the 1.6 and the 2.0 pinto release bearings different sizes? tbh i've never really looked at them in that way before just fitted them lol

	Easiest way, the mk5/6 rs2000 engine is the same block but uses a smaller flywheel and clutch which fit a type 9. And extend the clutch arm 12mm to bring the bearing closer job done

	Done it to.my triumph and done.away with the scrappy power sapping oil system I used the 8v sump and pick up 're drilled the dipstick. Had to weld a blank in to close a gap up,
