So I ended up, after a long story, being the owner of a silver ph1 Zantia. Odd choice I know, but with its hydrospastic suspension and boot space that could rival the death star it's been quite fun. I've done the niggle jobs, some bodywork, the brake pedal, and a little service so attention has turned to the pretty poor steel wheels. Has anyone got any recommendations for alloys which would look half decent, and are relatively common? 406 coupe alloys have been suggested.. 16s or 17s preferred...

If you stick with Citroen it'll be easier to get something to fit. Mine was bought with Xsara alloys on, they're only 14" but they did really suit it. Most things PSA will fit, with newer Citroen and Peugeot wheels offering you the 16-17" you're considering. I don't reckon they need to be on bigger than the standard 15" to look good.

Yeah that's looks tidy. Maybe if I can find some xsara vts alloys.
How long have you had yours? I've done the mod to the brake pedal spring, the brakes are loads better now.

Well done! Absolute Brilliant cars - like you said fit Planet Earth in the back! There are plenty of tidy alloys which will fit that, do like vulgalour 's look very fitting

I've done a fair bit more to mine since that picture was taken, I'm on Synergie wheel trims now, debadged, Mk1 grille and much cleaner... I think the standard Xantia wheel trims are a weak point on the design front, they look very aftermarket even though they're not. Happily, there's plenty of affordable 15" options. The trims I've got on now cost me something like a tenner for all four.

Id like 16"s where possible, may resort to 15"s.
I'm erring towards OEM french wheels, the 206cc ones are a good shout.. Id like to avoid saxo wheels tbh.
