I'm cross-posting this from another forum so bear with me and the insider references .
This past Saturday, nm+ convinced me to wake up early and drive down for the second-to-last Cars & Coffee on Saturday. It was a good thing he did, as it 1) was absolutely insane, size-wise, and 2) ended up being the last one ever. Unfortunately, due to a semi crash on the 5 (cue Californians gif), I was 40 minutes late and missed some things, as people tend to leave before 8. Also, although I wanted to document everything, it was impossible and the results, captured on a Samsung Note 3 with the horrific camera update, are... well, horrific. Even so, I decided to share, so here you go. Again, there was no artistry, no posing, no lighting effects. This is basically the result of "nm+, hold mah coffee, I'm taking pics of this insanity from eye level!”
The big overflow lot (across the street), as seen from the small overflow lot:
The accident that got C&C shut down one week early. Miata vs. F150.
These are the apartments under construction that are part of the reason C&C is being shut down:
That newly-built hotel in the background (behind the frontally-damaged F150) is another reason:
Still in the small overflow lot:
Coming back to the main lot:
Someone’s bored:
Someone’s blurry:
Yes, that is a female of the species:
As you can see, the main lot was emptying out by this time:
A Motorex R32 GT-R that used to be owned by a friend of mine. I had a thread about it years ago:
The awesomeness of C&C, on full display here:
Carbon fiber fenders and bumper, stripped interior. Sounded interesting:
Moving across the street to the large overflow lot, again pretty empty by this point:
Straight out of the 90s! ABT all the things!
Another female of the species, leaving…
Back to the main lot:

Then, nm+ and I went to consume eggs benedict. Unfortunately, there are no pics of the benedict. Also, my 15k mile 1.5 year old Mk6 GTI decided to curse word its coolant all over the ground. Note sign on wall: “No Skateboarding or Racquetball.” I can’t figure that one out.
So, we limped it to the dealership, and then decided see more car-related things to kill time while the water pump was being worked on.
We decided to visit TruSpeed and Crevier BMW’s classic car collection, both right next to each other:
Crevier, 1 of 10 such massive Packard coupes:
Then we walked over to TruSpeed:
Then we went for coffee and spotted the elusive Festiva Jolly!
Then we visited a certain TCLer whose RS4 refused to start. How many attorneys does it take to jump an RS4? Three, sadly.
“Where the **** is the negative?!?!”
Then the water pump was fixed. The end.
