Hello everyone, Allow me to introduce myself and my project! My name is Frode, and i live in Oslo, Norway, and this is my pride and seasonal ride, Stacie. She is a 1971 HLS30 Datsun 240z, imported from california a couple of years ago. She Was in decent condition when i picked her up, specially concidering she has been around the odometer twice, around 300000kms! Here is how she looked when i picked her up: Surprisingly "rustfree", but sporting a backyard paintjob by previous owner. Interior is pretty clean too, but the silly and driversseat is well worn.

The plan for my ride is low, wide and a bit obnoxious. I was never a fan of the American bumper bars, so they had to go. Removed the rearbumper alltogether, and underneath you can see the oem color Her she is parked up besides my buddy Kims red 70: I wanted to get the car Washed one Day and suddenly it looked like this: I drove the car like that most of the summer of 2013...

Then winter came and the plan was to fit flares and get her on the ground. Parts were stored in my livingroom and the gf was a bit releived when i removed them. Marugen-shoukai flares Marugen-shoukai 3piece wing and Kameari frontlip. I ordered the coilover kit from technotoytuning, and got a buddy of mine who is a fabricator to help me build the New setup. Obligatory before picture: Then he got to work shortening the shockcasings to fit the New setup and Yellow Koni Race dampers ordered from Summit. Some difference! Here are the finished set. And the result: The gf even came to help! We had to raise her a bit from that, she Was, beleive it or not, too low...

AS my buddy was welding the New strutcasings i also replaced all subframe bushings and some hardware that we broke trying to get the car apart. Spring came along and we had not gotten to fit the flares due to a few other projects taking place in the workshop. So i decided to just drive her as Much as i could summer of 2014, and so i did! Yes, I like the way this is going. The shell looks solid which is a rarity for a UK car. Will be watching the build.

Thank you, the Shell was Surprisingly solid, found a Litte bit of rust under the passenger seat, previous owner had used selftapping screws to fasten something, and there was a Litte bit in the doorsills as usual.

Nice job on the wheels - both 10j? Not a fan of the louvre on S30s.

Nice. Like the Z. Love Norway. I just spotted the personal plate too : very apt. Thanks for the kind words guys:) The plate was my own choise, its as close to a private plate that you can Come in Norway. When first time registring a classic car from before 1972 you can ask the dmv for your own choise of letters and numbers.
