I shall be parting ways with my 1995 Audi 80 Sport with the 2L 8v, engine code ABK, before too long and wonder what it's worth... I'll be selling as I'm moving to the continent so won't need a RHD daily driver anymore... detailed description below the pics.
Good bits:
119453 miles on the clock. Averaged 6,000 miles a year since new. Will be around 125k ish when I plan to sell it this spring/summer.
Stock and original. Even down to the original plates.
Starts first time with a new battery last year.
New Bosch alternator fitted Jan '15.
New Timing Belt and kit fitted Nov '14 @ 115k miles.
Tidy and clean interior. No rips, tears, non smoking and pet free etc...
Desirable Quattro spec rear heated windscreen. Fitted at a cost of £241.50 on 10/07/09
5 Original factory 5 spoke alloys with centre caps.
Currently with 7mm tread on the rear 5mm on the front.
New Rocker cover gasket Nov '14.
I've also replaced oil temp sender, coolant temp sensor and the ECU coolant temp sensor Dec '14.
Serviced with plugs, filters, oil, dizzy cap and rotor @ 118,453 Dec '14.
New O/S track rod end and 4 wheel tracking and balancing done in Nov '14.
Alpine speakers in place of OEM. Pioneer CASSETTE head unit (I plugged my phone in via a cassette adaptor)
2 Keys.
Coolant changed Jan '15.
Audi built the 80 with a galvanised body.
Paint work feels and looks lush and full aside from usual car park door opening dings... nothing out of the ordinary for a 20 year old car...
20 years old so could be insured as a classic?
35-37 mpg on a run.
Factory sports suspension so 20mm lower than stock. Firm but not excessively so for a daily driver.
All new parts and work done in my ownership have receipt either from my local garage or receipt from GSF/EuroCarParts etc if I have done the work myself...
Not as good bits:
Usual car park dings in the paint from careless ******s opening doors, as I say, nothing out of the ordinary for 20 year old car.
Fuel gauge is erratic. Reads correctly for a few miles, then drops for a few miles and corrects itself a few miles later. Audi forums say I need to pull the speedo and tighten two screws on the gauge and voltage stabiliser on the rear of the cluster. I will probably do this before sale if I get the time...
Engine has a little tappet noise but not hard to do on an 8v motor... I may do this before I sell it, I'm not sure...
Front wings are showing a little bubbling where the mudflaps meet the wing. Common spot on 80's. Otherwise solid.
2 of the factory alloys could do with a refurb if you're fussed. Paint is flakey around centre caps. Other 2 are pretty solid. 5th alloy is missing centre cap but ok.
Centre exhaust box blows slightly. Again, I'll probably be changing this before MOT and sale in summer anyway.
MOT currently expires in March but I'd only be looking to sell in late April/early June so it will have 11 or 10 months on it when sold.
Currently taxed but in line with the new rules, this is done by the new owner on purchase.
Located in Peterborough.
Any ideas on what it may be worth?
