for sale is a Toyota 1600 16v 4age was bought as a spare for my rally car and never used.The engine has just sat in the workshop for years must be some use to some one open to offers

From a front or RWD car? How complete? Blue top/red top? Small or big valves?

I believe it was from an early mr2 but I think it fits both front and rear wheel drive it is a silver top with red writing that I think is the bigger horse power engine I may have some other bit hanging about if you want to phone me my mobile number is07897991966

Sounds like you have an early red top. Basically a later 7 rib block but with the stock head. The one with more power was only fitted to the AE92 corolla GTi and was referred to as the High Torque engine. To fit in an RWD it needs a fair bit of modification. Inlet manifold is the first, water pump housing, thermostat housing and the water pipes which go under neath the inlet manifold. The long block is the same. Loom connectors vary between models/years. Sooooooo it's not the one I am after but it is reasonably priced for what it is  I hope the info at least helps. |

If it's the early type, it will have the bigger valves. £100 is mega cheap - I wish I needed it but there's nothing wrong with my engine, it's the body that needs replacing.  |

Problem is I can not remember to much about were it came from as it was so long ago I think it my be the bigger valved one as I can see the valves through the ports and they do look big and although they are not many about no body seams to want them
