In typical RR fashion what is annoying with your car ATM?

The main annoying thing is that cold start is excellent, warm to , it only cuts out on me while doing 120 km on the motorway. And if he did it every time thats okay, i can search for the malfunction, its erratic and stresses the h..l out of me. Plus its a nice father son thingy to do.

You would want some 40mm carbs from a Kawasaki Zx9r or Yamaha R1 ideally. Just fitting them to my Porsche at the minute actually.

www.boggbros.co.uk/ These blokes know all about what you need. I called them years ago & they were very friendly/helpful.

Some carbs such as those fitted to R1's are built up with spacers in between each 'carb' making respacing them for your port centres more difficult, requiring custom spacers turning up. Just something to consider when choosing.

I used Yamaha R6 carbs for my 1.6 cvh engine but found the were too close together. I split them into 2 pairs & made a link for the middle. Meant making a manifold was much easier. It was a lot of work but worth it. You have to remember that a lot of bike carbs are angled down quite severely when fitted to the bike. If you try & angle them back too much the floats won't work properly in the bowls. I was going to say "orientate them back" as I've already used "angle" but that just sounded gay. No offence if there are any gay men (or women) reading this. I called Bogg bros who recommended 600cc carbs for my 1.6 engine. From memory they were 38mm but the main jet has to be drilled out slightly. Using that logic then I would guess any carbs from 750cc-1000cc bike would suit your engine with the necessary enlargement of main jets.

Got what you mean by angled back, had a yzf600r (pre R6) in the past and those where tilted also. will def. look for the 1000 cc carbs. Thanks all
