I thought it looked familiar! Nice to see it's still in the RR family, I know Luke looked after it so you have a gem there.

Thanks for the welcomes! I've bought the mechanism to fix the drivers window which is stuck, and had a new front number plate made up, since the police are a little hot on that sort of thing round this way. But other than that I'm just looking forward to getting used to driving it around, and can't wait to get a bit of warmer weather to get the roof down!

I've bought the mechanism to fix the drivers window which is stuck, and had a new front number plate made up, since the police are a little hot on that sort of thing round this way. Just replaced the passenger electric window mechanism on mine and I've got the drivers one to do this weekend. I ended up buying new from Autolink not much more than s/h.

So today was work on car day, We were going to fix the drivers window, replace the seal in the engine and fit a legal number plate. Here is the car in before doing anything to it, (on the right) This was snapped in Tesco... randomly someone else with a mk1 parked next to me. Here is the engine bay, opened up. Close up. And said replacement seal. Here is the new mounted front number plate. Sadly, after that it started to rain, so we were unable to fix the drivers window mechanism. A job for the weekend. We did change the dials over on the dash. I did like the brown ones, they went well with the interior, but sadly in the dark they didn't light up very well. Much brighter! Last, but not least, I've decided it is now warm enough to put the roof down. So time to store the hard-top! We also fixed the side lights, which didn't want to come on... it was a very difficult job, took many hours. We had to change 2 bulbs.... that was it
