Great cars these, I remember a lad Rob having a silver 2000 TC Supermiafiori back in the late 80s and doing three figure speeds on the A12 between Ipswich and Colchester. I always wanted a Sport 2 door, remember there being an orange one near my mum's. Wasn't the twin cam engine a Maserati design?
Looks a quality rebuild, watching this with interest.

Awesome car. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Are you going to have the box arches and paint it in Alitalia colours? Wasn't the twin cam engine a Maserati design? Nope, Lampredi did this twin cam. Used from the FIAT 124 in the early 70s all the way until the FIAT Coupe 16VT in the mid nineties. On the way it won the World Rally Championship in the 70s in a FIAT 131 (with a tasty Abarth 16v head) and then in the 80s and 90s in the Lancia Delta.

I'm seriously impressed that you have managed to find good metal to weld to!!!! I love these, one of the best, no sod it, THE best saloons of the 70s. Even the 1300 sounded the knackers and went quicker than it had a right to. They look fabulous too IMHO. Keep up the good work.

Nice! A neighbour ran one of these (131 Supermirafiori ) as a taxi for a dew years. It was a lovely car but a shame to use use it as a workhorse. ...Lots of good metal on this one as it was imported from Malta But think of all the fun you're missing out on by not having to remake all of the metalwork! It has to be cheating bookmarked

Looks nice. I had a 78, put 130k on the clock, it only let me down once with a broken fuel pump.

Engine is standard bar carbs Have thoughts about bike carbs , rear axle will stay till it breaks lol and then a atlas axle will go on If I had the money a ST170 Zetec would be ready !
