Bottom one looks good. What about doing it like the old lotus cortinas? Swage-line is all wrong for a Mk1 Lotus stripe, Cortina is straight lines which wouldn't suit the coke-bottle shape. stuartp - Signal Orange with either Daytona Yellow or Diamond White graphics... Just looked it up and it's totally wrong dunno what I was thinking there. Dare to be different tho, most suggestions here have been done to death, the safe option

I'm really seriously considering just all one colour, bright yellow now
talk about opposite ends of the spectrum - classy silver or lairy banana!

I'd definitely stick to a single tone, orange is always a winner on an Escort. (For example, no bias psshhh) (minus the Mex stripes)

it's true, there are a fair few orange and yellow escorts
there are far far far more silver cars on the road in general though
I'm torn!
I have asked them for a price for silver, silver two tone and for yellow so I'll see what the difference in price between the three is and that might help me decide

Just a quick 'shop, but (as has been said before) I reckon that the darker colour should be on top...I've included a bit of orange to keep the missus happy...the orange accent could also be used sparingly inside (gauge needles, a pinstripe along the dash or on the trim), on the wheels or badge detail.

rmad - that is perfection. Paint the engine bay in the dark shade and the engine Orange (Chevy orange would be nice) - winner!

I'm down to 2 choices now - something very much like rmad's above and Daytona yellow
so different it's really really hard to decide
