Ugh - this is one of those really annoying things that should be really easy, but it has proven a massive ballache!
Some back story - I replaced the radiator because the old one was fooked - but no luck getting the switch to seal onto the radiator. No bother there really - it was ancient and I figured I might as well change it.
However!
I've just flushed the cooling system for S&G to allow me to change the switch without sloshing stuff all over the place, and fitted a shiny new (correct!) fan switch.
Shock horror, the sodding thing is still leaking. I've tried gnarring it up moderately tight, and PTFEing taping the thread - and it still leaks. WTF?! What can I do next? There's no visible damage / cracking to the radiator or the thread (the rad is only a few months old).
What else should I try? More gnar? It's a brass-bodied switch going into a plastic radiator end-tank, so I'm reluctant to heave on it too much. Only other option I can think of is to apply silicone jizz - but I'd rather not do that!
Thanks
