So, I'm in need of some custom oil pipes (turbo oil feeds) and whilst in my mind, it should be fine, I'm just after reassurance....
Can I use "fuel/oil" pipe, rated to 75 bar, with barbed fittings, and fuel hose style clamps (NOT jubilee clips) with no fear of it popping off, or generally leaking?
The pressure is well within the range of the pipe, the barbs give plenty of grip/seal... But I don't fancy finding out the hard way, lol

Used earls pipe before - similar construction, but clamped in place via a compression style fitting on the rubber (like a built in clamp)
They do look awfully pretty... But damned expensive in comparison

Just go to an hydraulic hose supplier and have some proper hoses made up with crimped bsp ends.
Surprisingly cheap and a good permanent solution.

I'm sure it'll hold up a (short?) while using dual high quality hose clamps. But i agree with Kieran, for a few tenners more you'll get peace of mind.

Swampy what sizes and dimensions do you need to get some made up? I don't need any currently but I will eventually when the turbo goes onto my pinto. Thanks

TBH, only needs to last a few months, before I just slap on a bigger turbo - but will get the dimensions tomorrow Literally about 2 foot of pipe, with (IIRC) an 8mm banjo fitting either end. Any idea of a rough ballpark figure?

Basically need to know what length you need and what fittings on each end
Price would be sub £25 delivered

original fittings?
This is a daisy chained oil feed, for a twin turbo setup - "original" parts don't exist, lol
Also... *why* would nobody use high pressure pipe, barbed fittings, and decent clips? Fear of the unknown, or is there a genuine reason? As stated, I've used Earls pipe fittings for a turbo oil feed in the past, and it's very similar in construction....
