Hi All,
I started this project a couple of years ago, but my circumstances changed straight after and I couldn't get on with it.
2 door Chevette hatchback, decent shell with minimal rust.
Original engine ran sweet as a nut, I drove this car 200+ miles home from where I bought it, nice to drive and everything works.
I've taken the original engine out and have the following ready to be fitted:
Zetec E 1.6 engine from a low mileage 1996 Escort.
Ford Type 9 gearbox from 4 cylinder Sierra.
Zetec Flywheel re-drilled to take Pinto/Type 9 clutch (so the Zetec timing buttons are on the back of the flywheel for the crank sensor).
Pinto propshaft to suit type 9 box.
Retroford Cast Alloy Sump Kit (designed for Zetec RWD conversions). Brand New
Retroford Zetec Alternator Kit Brand New
Retroford Starter motor. Brand New
GSXR1000 throttle bodies - Can be spaced to suit ST170 Manifold.
Ford Focus ST170 Manifold with injectors and rail (fits straight to this engine but allows throttle body direct fitment).
Weber twin 40's with filters, pump and linkage and manifold to fit Zetec engine.
MegaSquirt ECU with direct coil drivers, harness flyleads and program CD, pre-loaded with Escort 1.6 Zetec basic map. Brand New
Full Escort Loom removed from donor car, with all engine plugs to make new loom up.
Astra GTE front calipers.
Full original Chevette interior, complete but removed from car. Drivers seat is split on the bolster.
A few other bits.
Already Fitted:
A series Manta axle casing and steel torque tube.
B series Manta Diff, shafts and brakes etc.
13" Rostyle wheels.
I've also got a spare B series axle and alloy torque tube complete, plus the original Chevette axle and torque tube.
Pretty much a half tidy base car and well over a grands worth of new conversion parts.
Looking to sell this as a complete project, with choice of carbs or throttle bodies. V easy to use 1.8 or 2.0 Zetec E instead of the 1.6.
