Looks nice! Keep up the good work! I imaging all you're going to do now is tidy the bay? Outside and inside looks great!

Cheers bud yeah there's a lot of rough ones out there now and tbh this wasn't the best when I picked it up but it is completely solid and rust free and its getting there now the list of new parts I've fitted is endless but it will be worth it once it's finished

I'd go for a tfsi, there aren't too many about but newer is normally better, though the emissions systems may prove a bug bear unless you want to use them all or use standalone management.

Yeah ce2 makes the conversion a bit easier I really want to run oem management and map all the extra bits I don't want out. I've been reading up and this is a lot harder to do on the tfsi conversion but can be done I think I will probably go with the 20v with a big turbo in the end I'm looking for around 300 brake as I want it to be drivable as a daily still also going to get a lsd I did think about a 4wd conversion but I decided against it after driving a friends with a lsd

Here's a few pics of some of the previous mk2s I've owned over the years The first one here's where it all started Soon got de chav,d Then I got a bora 20v turbo but got bored and bought this Which within a week looked like this Then after lots of attention Then I sold it to a friend who still owns it now so I bought this abf But that had a lot of rust so I sold it on to a fellow dinner who restored it So I bought a more door this had been sitting for a few years but was solid and saveable Here's how I picked it up after a quick wash to get all the moss off it was more green than black Soon had it how it should be

Nice looking oak green, one of my neighbours when I was growing up bought a 16v Oak green new in 91, and an E30 325i sport, in dark green they both looked great. Funny that he should end up in jail on fraud charges (he was a solicitor)
I think this added to my love of 80's and 90's
I really fancy a mk2, ideally a VR6 as I loved that engine in my Mk3 to make it more difficult/expensive in a Jetta coupe body

It's been a productive few days managed to sort out nearly all the squeeks and rattles that were coming from inside didn't get any pics but had half of the interior out most of the dash bolts and screws were loose also sorted a bit of wiring and now have a working cigarette lighter and handbrake light plus it's now a much quieter place to be Also took the car for a mot and it passed with 2 advisories so I'm all good for another years motoring Was on eBay the other night and see a set of wheels I really wanted so I pondered it for the night and decided the next day I had to have them went to buy them and they had sold so I messaged the seller to say I would buy them if the winner didn't and luckily he had a second set and I got them a bit cheaper Also bought my bam engine I sold last year back from a friend who planned to put it in his mk1 but never got round to it so hopefully it will be sitting in my bay soon

Someone pulled out in front of me luckily he admitted full responsibility and has settled without going through insurance so the cars booked in to the body shop for a full respray bar the roof and boot as they don't need doing I've sourced all the parts needed other than a gen be wing Removed panels today and luckily the inner wing and chassis leg have no damage tried the new bumper iron and everything lined up fine bumper iron and slam panel took it all so as soon as I find a wing I will fit her all up and send it to the bodyshop
