Great pics, Darren. I believe you had to help Ste push his race car at one point!

Thanks rmad! Great pics, Darren. I believe you had to help Ste push his race car at one point! Aye, I was miles away from the paddock for most of the day after that so I was relieved to see he'd fixed it and was out again for the race in the afternoon! Yes, he did well in the end, 4th place I think. Needs more power, obv!

I was there too, super day of racing! Bit of a nasty crash with the 2cvs but it seems everyone involved is ok. Loved the mad low things in the cnc race!

Ahhhhh I knew I recognised that Capri from somewhere! If I see you/it there again I'll say hello. I didn't see the crash, I was down at Britten's but the wait for the air ambulance was a sad reminder of how dangerous motorsport can be...

the mood definitely dropped at that point! According to the 2cv website she's escaped with heavy bruising thankfully. It was a great day's racing other than that! This was our viewing spot when it was raining - good view of 3 corners

*inspects Rusted Pistons rear screen... is acceptable* Oulton Park looks like such a good circuit, shame it is MSV owned, they seem peculiarly difficult to deal with.

I've been going regularly since I was about 14 years old but I have only managed one or two visits a year in recent times. I plan to make amends in 2015

Going to Oulton Park for the first time this weekend for the GT's. Any recommendation's for best viewing points/places to avoid etc It's all good really, the main places are the main sort of infield parking area by the corporate hospitality building, it's on a slope overlooking Cascades and you can see them heading up towards Knickerbrook. If it's raining that's probably the best in-car vantage point. As you come in through the main entrance keep going straight and it'll take you round to it. Or walk over the bridge at Clay Hill and down to Hill Top or Britten's/Foulstons, I spend most of my time there these days... Or Lodge Corner, good view of the cars as they accelerate up Deer Leap toward the start/finish, and it's just by the pits so you can wander round there (although I'm not sure if it's as open for the GTs as normal, I've never made the GTs before). It's not a huge circuit to walk around if you park in the infield, you'll soon work out where you want to be. Enjoy it

Did you see the Caterhams racing too? A mate of mine was driving. Yeah the Caterhams are always good entertainment. Which one was your mate? I'll see if I have pics.
